Culture is the Residue of Design Choices.
Every organization makes choices. Sometimes deliberately, sometimes by default. About how decisions get made, how new people are welcomed, how performance is talked about, how work moves from one person to another. Those choices add up to what it feels like to work somewhere.
When the choices are intentional, the experience holds together. When they aren't, the gaps show up in the moments employees notice most: the first ten minutes of someone's third week, the conversation that never quite happened, the decision that took six weeks longer than it needed to.
